Healthy Lifestyles Advertisements: In this advertisement series, I picked the Susan G. Komen foundation. The Susan G. Komen foundation provides resources and support for women with breast cancer currently or previously, as well as support for the families of those fighting. The Susan G. Komen foundation empowers women, and lets them know they aren't fighting this alone. In my advertisements, I wanted to incorporate the idea of women empowerment. Often when I see advertisements for breast cancer, it includes women in a hospital bed receiving radiation. However, breast cancer goes beyond hospitals and treatments; we don't see how they continue to carry out daily tasks despite the pain and emotion they are enduring. It is truly eye opening. In my advertisements, both women are carrying out tasks, such as doing laundry or going to the grocery store. They don't let breast cancer define them, and whether we know it or not, those living with breast cancer fight to carry out their daily lives.
